How To Pick A Good Niche

Filed Under (General) by admin on 12-03-2009

Most people tell you that a good niche is something that you love writing about. I say that a good niche is one that is profitable. For example, if you are passionate about your life then the only way I see you profiting from your website is AdSense (not much money from that). Your niche is the most important factor of the amount of money you will be making. For beginners I recommend paying attention to niche’s around you that are fairly small. A small niche means much less competition which in return means much less skill needed to succeed. I believe their is no such thing as a saturated niche, only niche’s that require higher skill levels. The make money online niche is one of the hardest niche’s to compete in. I am doing it on a small scale and don’t plan to make anything out of it. Here is some tips on picking the right niche:

1. Don’t go into the following niches(If your a beginner):
Make Money Online, Weight Loss, Acne, Internet Marketing, Get Paid To, Forex, Green/Alternative Energy, Phone Detective, Software/Movie/Music Downloads, Get Your Ex Back/Relationships, Dating. (Their is probably more but this is the top one’s, oh yeah Porn is one.)

2. Pick a niche that has multiple income streams.
Certain methods I try just don’t fit my style of promoting/profiting. That’s why it’s better to have something that has many different revenue streams.

3. Pick a niche that has quality products to promote.
If the niche you pick has horrible product landing pages and their product is junk, why will your visitor want to buy a product? Pick something that is made with quality!
