Tips for traffic ARE the leader for information on how to get most from your website. Their is many programs claiming “GET MORE TRAFFIC NOW”, but only about 3% of them actually work! So if you were to buy 100 products for $10 a piece only 3 of those would work. By doing the math you would loose close to a thousand dollars before you actually reached a couple of nice products. One traffic tool that worked for me was Bookmarking Demon. This tool submits your site to over 150 social bookmarking sites and gets high PR “do-follow” links to your site. If your a newbie, this is what it means “It makes your site important in the eyes of google resulting in big traffic”. It’s all explained on their website. 1. Ask For People To Review Your Site
If you go to a popular forum, you can go and make a new thread and say “Am I doing good with my site” or “Check out & rate my site!”. This will attract visitors to your thread, even if you don’t get a reply, look at the amount of views you have. I did this on a pr 6-7 forum that has 100,000+ members and I got over 100 visitors in 2 days! That could make a difference. If you do this to about 50 forums in a month you would get 5,000 uniques and some major backlinks!
2. Make A Contest/Drawing!
This can bring your traffic WAY UP if you advertise this on forums and social bookmarking sites. First of all, make the contest prize either a genral prize (like a tv or a cash prize) or something related to your niche. If you have a quit smoking niche blog and make a contest for a free month of weight watchers, its not going to attract many people. Second of all, make the prize worth it! If a prize is small make sure the qualifications for entering are small (Ex: A comment on your blog gets you in to the draw or digging the most topics on your blog.). Making a contest is quite easy, just compiling a lot of free useful content can be a great prize too (Ex: iPhone Blog: 100 Wallpapers, 100 Free Apps Pack, and 5 Free Paid Apps of their choice.).
3. Tweaking Titles For Search Engines And Users
A title can make the biggest difference in traffic, you can tweak a title and get 1000 more uniques then if you used another title. You need to create an equilibium (Good Movie lol) between SEO and Users Interest. SEO: How will the search engines rank your title? Users: Will this title make social bookmarkers click on your topic? These are the things you need to worry about.
